What has ADFI been up to – meet Anotar!
Check out the work our ADFI team has been doing on developing the ability to annotate online. An annotation feature exists in our current ICE2.0 product, however the feature is only useful from an authoring perspective and is text-based.
Through focus groups and other interactions with colleagues, ADFI has identified the need to extend annotations beyond the authoring stage and into the general reading and interaction with web-based content. For example, where annotations can presently be added by co-authors, this new work will allow students to annotate their courseware with questions and have on-going discussions with both educators and peers.

The ADFI mobile learning/mobile devices Special Interest Group, formed recently, is now inviting wider membership. Current membership comprises academics exploring the use of mobile devices for learning and teaching (some already doing it, some thinking about it), those developing apps for iPhones in their spare (personal time) or other applications, our ADFI development team who have been working on a mobile output of our course materials, Library staff, etc.
Let us know if you are interested in joining this group.
