See you at the EDEN Media Inspirations for Learning conference
I will soon be heading for the EDEN conference (Media inspirations for learning: What makes the impact?) to be held in Valencia, Spain. I will be presenting a paper titled “Responding to the perfect storm: Impetus to create an edgeless university?” with my colleague, Dr Jacquie McDonald. We are presenting on Thursday, June 10 and it will be a great multi-cultural experience (for us, at least!) as I note presenters from Finland, Ireland and Denmark are presenting with us at that time.
The conference promises to be an exciting experience addressing questions such as: Where do new media take us as educators? What is the value of being active in new media? What is the validity of knowledge in Web 2.0?
The concept of “openness” is also under the microscope and I very much look forward to these debates given that the University of Southern Queensland is the only Australian member of the Open Courseware Consortium (OCW). I am also keen to catch up with friends and colleagues from Elluminate – yay, Zemina!
See you there!
